Mastery (Pet Simulator 99)

Mastery is a feature in Pet Simulator 99 that was added in Update 6, unlocked by rebirthing four times. The player's masteries, represented by a pink star, can be found upon opening the inventory.

There are currently 14 different masteries in the game, which are Potions, Enchants, Eggs, Fishings, Fruit, Economy, Breakables, Gifts, Pets, Digging, Keys, Superior Mini Chests, Fusing, and Boost Exchange.

Leveling any mastery skill grants various permanent buffs to the player. Upon reaching level 99 of a mastery, the player will unlock a special Mastery Cape for the respective mastery, which is purely cosmetic.

Having all masteries at level 99 unlocks a Master Skill Cape, which grants a bonus of +10% diamonds earned. The cape does not have to be equipped for the bonus to be active. If new masteries are added, the cape is removed until all masteries are maxed again.

The leveling process can be improved by being in a clan that has its Clan Boost upgraded to level 6 or higher, which grants an extra 10% mastery XP gain. Another way of speeding the process up is consuming Mastery XP Potions, as consuming one grants 10,000 XP (11,000 if player is in a level 6 clan or higher) to a mastery of the player's choice. The fastest way to get any mastery maxed is by consuming an Ultra Mastery XP Potion, which instantly grants player a level 99 mastery of their choice.

The Potions Mastery can be enhanced by upgrading potions with the Upgrade Potions Machine or by consuming potions.

To get from level 1 to level 99, approximately 32.59m non-exclusive eggs or 522 Exclusive Eggs are required to be hatched. With the clan bonus, these numbers are reduced to 29.62m non-exclusive eggs or 474 Exclusive Eggs.

The Fishing Mastery can be enhanced by fishing in the Fishing or Advanced Fishing minigames. This does not affect catches in the Fishing World.

The Fuse Machine is by far the most efficient way to upgrade, as it also enhances the Fuse Mastery. However, it is significantly slower due to the limit of 100 pets that can be fused at a time.

The Fruits Mastery can be enhanced by upgrading fruits at Upgrade Fruits Machine or by consuming them.

The Keys Mastery can be enhanced by using and crafting Tech Keys, Crystal Keys, Treasure Hideout Keys, Void Keys, Secret Keys, Fantasy Keys and MVP Keys. Hacker and Prison Keys grant no progress to this mastery.

Based on total experience required, reaching level 85 represents 25% completion of a mastery, reaching level 91 (almost 92) represents 50% completion of a mastery, and reaching level 96 represents 75% completion of a mastery.
