The April Fools Event 2023 was a limited event in Pet Simulator X, started at April 1st 2023. It introduced temporary mechanics, such as the April Fools PS1 biome, fruits, error chests, and the Error Egg and its diamond variant. It also re-introduced the Infinite Pets Equipped gamepass.
Fruits[]
Fruits are a feature added in the April Fools Event 2023. They spawn as breakables across all worlds, and grant boosts upon defeat, depending on the fruit. They can be stacked an unlimited number of times, but the multipliers themselves cap out at a stack of 400, any amount over only extending the amount of time that the buff lasts. The maximum multipliers for the fruit are 12x for Pineapple, Apple and Pear boosts, and 23x for Orange and Banana boosts.

In addition to the above fruits, a Rainbow Fruit can spawn. Defeating it grants one stack of each fruit boost.
Error Chests[]
Error Chests are a feature added in the April Fools Event 2023. They spawn as breakables across all worlds and grants the player a visual modifier upon defeat. The list of modifiers include:
- Making the player's avatar tiny.
- Making the player's avatar enormous.
- Enabling low gravity.
- Enabling super jumps.
- Erroring the player's skin (making it black and pink).
April Fools PS1 Biome[]
The April Fools PS1 biome is a temporary biome that can be accessed by completing three quests and entering the errored building at the Town. The quests are as follows:
- Type "april fools" in chat.
- Eat 30 Healthy Fruits.
- Break 20 Error Chests.
After completing the questline, the player can teleport to this biome and find the Error Egg. Additionally, by entering "pls" in chat, the player can teleport to a secret room to find the Diamond Error Egg.
Trivia[]
- This event introduced four new pets, which are the Error Dog, Error Axolotl, Error Dragon and the Huge Error Cat.
- This event replaced all the fan art in the game, which meant any player who had the Artist title in game had it removed.
- This event added paintball guns to the Trading Plaza. Shooting them at a player changed their avatar to a random color.
- The quests were described on a sign in front of the building. Originally the 3rd sign stated the task "Break 25 Error Chests", but only 20 were required.
- There was a massive bug with Comets where if you had tons of orange boosters, you would've gotten upto 10B+ diamonds in Mini Comets and 500B+ diamonds in Massive Comets. This was then fixed almost after 6 hours after the update.
- The fruits were brought back in the quests update, although more rare to find.
