Agility was used to measure a pet's speed of movement, speed of collecting coins, and opening chests. The speed of movement is generally not an issue for any pets hatched from a tier 4 egg or above. The time it takes for collecting coins and the opening of chests is figured out by a formula:
Time = Health / (Agility+1)
For example, it will take 20 seconds for a pet with agility 9 to pick up the smallest coin in the Shadow Biome, whose health is 200. For pets with large agility, we can ignore the added 1 in the formula.
The Agility point, together with Coin Collection, determines the quality/stats of a pet.
